6 Stunning Rustic Gingerbread Houses To Inspire You
In our house, we are just starting to think about what style gingerbread house we will make this year. Every year the kids make gingerbread houses out of milk cartons, graham crackers and vanilla frosting while I drool over more sophisticated designs that I never seem to find the time to make.
This year, things are going to be different, I’m making a real gingerbread house(at least that’s what I’m telling myself) and it’s going to look like one of the following inspiring houses below:
Rustic Gingerbread Log Cabin by Sue
This is one of my favorite gingerbread houses. It looks so simple, though maybe a little time consuming, to make. Sweet little ducks complete this charming yet edible woodland home.
Peace, a delightful Gingerbread House & 2010 Winner by Mary E.
It’s hard to believe that someone is this talented. Our gingerbread houses look like Pinterest fails but this one is a stunner which is why This Old House choose it for their winning entry in 2010. I am so in love with this house. The tiny snowshoes steal the show.
Sassy but Simple Gingerbread House by Tawyna Corrente
Tawyna’s house proves that sometimes simple really is best. This gingerbread house is pure delight!
Winter Wonderland Gingerbread House by Patricia Howard
Patricia was shocked to win the grandprize for the first gingerbread house she ever made but with a design this beautiful, it’s no surprise why she won!
Gingerbread House Kit from a Ali’s Sweet Treat’s
These gingerbread house kits are wonderfully sweet and best of all super easy to make. What I love most about them is that they are made by a real bakery and shipped to you. No baking, no fuss, just pure fun!
Edible to the Birds Gingerbread House by For the Birds in Nature
Ok, I know this isn’t a traditional gingerbread house but it’s so dang cute. I couldn’t help my self. Don’t you just love this sweet little bird house.
Now, that we’ve shared some gingerbread house love, tell me what your favorite method of making gingerbread houses is. Do you use gingerbread cookie cutters, molds, or just win it? I’m not sure that even if I wanted too, I could make a house as gorgeous as the ones above but I’m going to try…how about you?
